![]() I'm pretty interested in this idea, and other than ] and ], I have all of the pricier cards one might want in a list like this. I'm also curious how you would build this deck without the budget constraints. Crucible is also great with Intuition/Academy Ruins, which I assume would be in an idealized version of the deck. You should probably also be playing ], and that would work well with Crucible as well to let you repeatedly recur things. You have some slow fetches, which is probably enough on its own to include Crucible since you want as many shuffle effects as possible. It's notable that Salvaging Station goes infinite with Krark-Clan Ironworks/Blasting Station and ], both of the former of which are already in the list. My favourite EDH card is ], and I feel like I would want to play that here.I feel like there are more I can't think of. You have ], but there's also ], ], and ] just off the top of my head. Those sorts of spells will allow you to basically cast 10 artifacts in a turn at some point, and usually win. Some things that stand out to me, other than budget concessions: It played just about every artifact that can draw a card, and killed with ] after generating huge storm from cost reducers, cantril artifacts, and ]. Decks like this always lead to the coolest games, because they can win in lots of different ways and interact with the opponent as well.Ī friend of mine used to have a more combo-y Grixis eggs deck with Mishra as commander (to exploit the ]/] interaction). This is my favourite sort deck lots of combos, none of them particularly efficient or compact, plus interaction. If you have suggestion of cards to try out please let me know! I'm definitely always changing and experimenting, so feel free to let me know any feedback you have. Thanks everyone for coming to my TED Talk. Alela, Artful Provocateur Alela, Artful Provocateur. I'm all for learning some new stuff after writing a primer, but you should be pretty close when you post it.I would like to share with you a quick primer for my take on don't impact the performance of the deck that much at all, in some ways they even make it better! I actually play against a guy with a bling'd out Maelstrom list very similar to the one I just linked - the funny thing is me and him win based on who casts Maelstrom first, which is usually decided by who goes first as mine and his ramp packages are nearly identical, but our win cons are completely different. Late game you hit in on a cascade, dump 2 mana into it, and he covers your commander tax for the next cast, or he chumps like a champ.įurther down in his primer is a link to a deck that seems to be what chasemuss is trying to make his list more like. but to that end, I actually run ] instead of any of the above as it casts T1, keeps you neutral with 2 mana on T2, and T3 you'll have 5 mana. for that matter, I'd rather have Explore over Exploration in the deck as well (I've tested both). No EDH deck is ever finished, but if you're writing a primer, you should be pretty settled into what's in it (and not have 30+ cards to go for testing), and be able to defend what you included, as well as things that you've cut through testing - for instance I cut Burgeoning long ago as it was pretty lackluster in every situation except your opening hand. These primers are ones I found were the most in-depth and helpful to those wanting to create these decks. Please do not get offended if your primer or deck list wasn't listed. I was inspired by /u/ecmmyers post to create a composite list of quality, up to date primers for the formats most popular generals.
